Statement Powder Rooms

Powder Rooms or half baths are often the smallest and sometimes most overlooked looked spaces in a home. In my opinion, they can be the most fun and show stopping space and because of its smaller size it's a great opportunity to experiment with bold design. As I've mentioned in the past half baths are a great place for a dramatic color, bold wallpaper, striking tile, and unique light fixtures. Also, because the space small you can make a big impact on a smaller budget.

I love the rich moody deep purple color of this powder room. Sherwin Williams Raisin SW 7630 is a fantastic bold color to use to make a statement in a powder bathroom. The open console sink is stunning and helps to keep the room light and not feel too heavy and weighted combined with the dark wall color. The brushed gold console sink, faucet, mirror, and lighting all work together to keep the room feeling balanced, bright, and warm.

Some other great options to add to powder rooms to make a statement would be adding unique architectural details such as molding, wainscotting, shiplap, or beadboard to create texture or dimension on the walls. You could use tile or stone to add contrast and visual interest. Adding mirrors, shelving, hooks, or art to create focal points and add storage options are other great ideas. The possibilities in this small space are endless and it's a great place to let your imagination run wild.

I would love to hear about some of your statement making powder bathrooms in the comments below!
